SESSION OVERVIEW

In this session, Brendon shares how ASA builds awareness of neurodiversity across business and communities, providing insight on neuroinclusive best practices that will help environments realise and benefit from neurodivergent experiences.

By participating in this workshop, you are already taking a significant step towards building a more inclusive and effective environment. You can help challenge the stigmas and break down traditional barriers that prevent neurodivergent people from learning, gaining and maintaining the right employment.

PRESENTER

As ASA’s L&D Manager, Brendon brings decades in learning and development across the tech, finance, health and service industries.

Drawing on experience from group training, facilitation, leadership & coaching, he specialises in creating tailored blended learning programs for leaders and their teams.

Along with sharing neurodiversity awareness training, workshops and ASA’s best practices across and outside of industry, Brendon’s focus at ASA is to help recognise, generate and implement engaging learning experiences for all staff throughout their employment journey.

Australian Spatial Analytics (ASA) is a national not-for-profit certified social enterprise and geospatial consultancy. Since 2020, ASA has created geospatial and digital engineering careers for more than 200 young neurodivergent employees, who may otherwise be out of work as they face a 34% unemployment rate.

ASA currently employs over 60 people, of which 80% are neurodivergent, primarily autistic. ASA’s CEO, Geoffrey Smith, is also the 2025 Queensland Australian of the Year.
