The delays are over!!! We are excited to announce that the updated SEN Board Induction Course will be officially launched and available on June 1st.
The online induction course is designed to help students and staff understand the importance of their roles and responsibilities as a board member and to equip them with the knowledge and skills they need to be an effective leader. By completing the course, they will be able to move from being clubs and societies aspiring leaders to board leadership.
The course is self-paced and consists of 5 modules covering topics such as legal structures, charity status, setting strategy and policy, governance, risk management, financial management, reporting, board papers, duty of care, succession planning, and more. There is a range of activities and quizzes to enhance engagement for the students, and students are able to download a copy of a Certificate of Completion once they have completed the course.
The course is free of charge to all current members of SEN. You can register for access to the course here
Non-fee-paying Members and external parties may be eligible to access the course for a cost, please contact us for more details.
